Thanksgiving Day is a day when most people gets together to enjoy the company of family, friends and delicious food. It’s a day filled with turkey, tender hugs and thankfulness.
However, although this is the experience for many, it’s not the experience for some. There are many people who go hungry and are lonely on Thanksgiving Day. They have no place to call home and no one to call their own.
These people live on the side of highways or under bridges. They live in all types of obscure and unsanitary places. For these individuals Thanksgiving Day is just an ordinary day. It’s another day that they struggle to survive.
At Connect, we believe that regardless of your circumstance and regardless of how you got into your circumstance, everyone deserves to experience love and warmth especially on Thanksgiving Day.
Therefore, we are teaming up with our Atlanta Berean Church Family to provide a Thanksgiving Dinner for all the homeless individuals in the Atlanta area.
On Sunday, November 18th Berean will be busing in homeless people from all over the city and feeding them a delicious Thanksgiving meal. We would like to be apart of the this great experience.
To volunteer register on our website under the Thanksgiving Outreach registration page. The hours of service are 11:30 am to 2:30pm.
